BGNI Awards – Young Volunteer of the Year 2022

Young Volunteer of the Year 2022

Amber Fisher

We are delighted to announce that Amber has been awarded the Young Volunteer of the Year 2022 in the BGNI Awards.

This award is in recognition of Amber’s hard work and determination to succeed in her role as a Young Leader within the club.

Amber has been volunteering within LX for a number of years, working with gymnasts across a number of our programs – from MiniGym to JuniorGym and Squads. Amber has choreographed a number of stunning floor routines for our squad gymnasts, along with attending competitions with the team. Amber is also the captain of The Hub – our Leadership Academy.

During lockdown, Amber volunteered to record video challenges for our popular LX At Home program, helping to keep our gymnasts engaged during a difficult period of closure. Amber also recorded routines for the Special Olympics Virtual competition.

Amber has taken control of her own personal development, attending a number of courses including Intro to Coaching and Judging, Proficiency Awards Scheme Coach and Makaton. These courses have stood her in good stead, as she also recently passed her Level 1 Women’s Artistic Coaching course with flying colours, allowing Amber to move into the role of a coach within the team. Amber is currently sitting her Level 2 Women’s Artistic Coaching course…all while studying for her A-Levels!

We are so proud of you Amber! What a role model of our Hub Crew and other gymnasts!

Congratulations on your award!
